Bassoon Tone Fundamentals @ 1 pm

Derek Bannasch joined the faculty of the Montana State University School of Music in 2021, where he teaches applied bassoon, chamber music, courses in music education, and conducts the MSU University Band. An active participant in Montana’s thriving musical culture, he performs regularly with the Bozeman, Helena, and Great Falls Symphony Orchestras, as well as the 406 Winds, MSU’s woodwind quintet in-residence. He is also co-founder and conductor of the Gallatin Valley ​Concert Band, southwest Montana's only year-round ​ensemble for wind and percussion musicians.
