Oboe Reed Making Clinic @ 1 pm

Dr. Beth Antonopulos teaches oboe, music history, and theory at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT where she is an Associate Teaching Professor. She performs regularly with the faculty 406 Wind Quintet and many ensembles throughout Montana, adjudicates in the region, and will be teaching this summer at the Flathead Music Camp. Beth loves helping oboe students of all ages make and refine reeds. Clinic attendees will learn some common adjustments to working reeds, how to sharpen reed knives, and tips for making reeds at higher altitudes and drier climates. Materials and tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own too. Students can also ask about English horn reeds if interested!
