Education is at the heart of everything we do at Summerhays Music. We’re proud advocates and sponsors of music education programs throughout Utah, and we work hard to foster a vibrant musical community.

Work With Dedicated Education Representatives

As your local music store, our goal is the same as yours: inspire and motivate your students so they excel in both music and life.

Our dedicated team of Education Representatives is here to make your life as a teacher easier. They can regularly visit your school and play a supporting role in your school music programs, community ensembles, and other organizations.

Your Education Representative Can Help You With the Following:

  • Pick up and drop off instrument repairs
  • Assist with recruiting efforts like instrument demonstrations and mailing campaigns
  • Facilitate school bids and quotes for purchases
  • Deliver new instruments and supplies directly to your school
  • Help inside your classroom as a clinician and consultant
  • Inform you about the latest music products and events
  • Steve Bauman - Educational Representative Director

    Steve has been an active professional bassist in the Salt Lake area for 30 years. Prior to dedicating himself fully to the bass, he played trumpet, piano, and guitar. He studied jazz performance at the University of Utah before embarking on his professional career. Steve has worked with Summerhays in a variety of roles since he started in 2007. Most recently as an Educational Representative since 2015. Steve is passionate about music and the arts and especially loves serving music educators and helping them and their students find fulfillment and joy through music.

  • Dante Clavere

    Dante Clavere is a professional bassist and has been engaged with music since birth. He went to public school in Berea, Kentucky and moved out to Salt Lake City in 2018 to attend Westminster College. Dante has a bachelor's of arts in music studies with an emphasis in bass performance. He gigs, offers clinics, transcribes and arranges, has done tech work for all sorts of live performances, and loves to meet new people in the Utah music community.

  • Sean Lambert

    A Utah native and accomplished trumpet player, Sean brings both musical expertise and a passion for education to the Summerhays team. He studied under Brad Flinders at South Summit High School, where he served as lead trumpet in the jazz band and section leader in the concert band. From 2018 to 2021, he returned to his alma mater as Associate Director of Music, teaching jazz, concert band, and choir to middle and high school students. Sean continued his studies at Salt Lake Community College under Craig Ferrin and remains active in the local music scene, often collaborating with fellow musicians and AV techs. Since joining Summerhays in early 2022, he has supported music educators as a brass clinician and enjoys sitting in or guest conducting with school ensembles. His dedication to helping students and teachers thrive is at the core of his work.

  • Heath Wolf

    Heath Wolf retired from music education after 32 years of service to Davis School District and the community. His ensembles received wide acclaim, including performance invitations to The Midwest Clinic, The Music For All National Concert Band Festival, The Sandy Feldstein Percussion Festival, and the Utah Music Educators Conference. His program was awarded the Sudler Cup, The National Blue-Ribbon Award from the National Band Association, and several Downbeat Jazz awards. Heath is an active clinician/guest conductor across the country as composes music for percussion ensembles. Heath looks forward to working with directors via instructional clinics, equipment needs, recruiting/retention events, and repair assistance.
