Host your next recital, studio performance, masterclass, or musical event in the Summerhays Piano Source Recital Hall.

Our intimate performance space seats up to 70 guests and features a beautiful grand piano, professionally voiced specifically for the room to provide a rich, complex sound for performers and audiences alike.

Rental Rates

$50 for the first two hours
$25 for each additional hour

A two-hour minimum reservation is required. Your reserved time includes setup, guest arrival, the performance, cleanup, and departure. 

Please plan accordingly, as events may be scheduled back-to-back.

After we receive your request, a member of the Summerhays Piano Source team will follow up to confirm your reservation and collect payment.

Hours & Availability

The recital hall is available during regular store hours:

Monday–Thursday: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM
Friday–Saturday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM

If you would like to rent the recital hall outside of these hours, please call 801-264-9100 to discuss availability and arrangements.

Recital Hall Amenities

Your rental includes:

  • Seating for up to 70 guests
  • Grand piano, professionally voiced for the recital hall
  • Four music stands
  • Microphone and speaker available upon request
  • Upright piano offstage available upon request
  • 6-foot folding table available upon request
  • Restroom access
  • Accessible entrance and parking

Seating & Setup

Chairs will be set up prior to your reservation. You are welcome to rearrange the seating to best accommodate your event. At the end of your reservation, please return the chairs and any equipment used to their original arrangement and condition.

Please do not move either piano. If a piano needs to be repositioned for your event, please ask a Summerhays Piano Source staff member for assistance.

Arrival & Accessibility

For the easiest access to the recital hall, we recommend parking in the back lot and entering through the rear entrance on the west side of the store. This entrance provides an accessible route to the recital hall without stairs.

If the back lot is full, guests may also enter through the front of the store. Please note that guests entering through the front will need to use stairs to reach the recital hall.

Conditions of Use

To help us keep the recital hall and instruments in excellent condition:

  • No food or drinks are permitted in the recital hall.
  • Please remain within your reserved time, including setup and cleanup.
  • Please return the recital hall and equipment to the condition in which you found them.
  • Please do not move either piano.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Cancellations must be made at least four weeks prior to your scheduled recital to be eligible for a refund.

Cancellations made less than four weeks before the scheduled recital may result in forfeiture of the rental fee.

Please contact Summerhays Piano Source at 801-264-9100 as soon as possible if you need to cancel or make changes to your reservation.
