ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE and CREDIT CLERK

Job Description

Summerhays Music has an opening for a full time accounts receivable and credit clerk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a person with prior credit or receivable experience to work in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for processing purchase orders and billing individual schools, school districts and institutions.

You will also take payments and be able to answer customer questions about their accounts with Summerhays Music including balance owing, amount past due, date of last payment and amount of interest, if any. You should be able to understand interest calculations.

You should be able to help our customers come up with a payment plan that will bring their account up to date.

You will evaluate credit reports and credit worthiness

Qualifications

You should have at least a high school education and some post high school accounting classes.

You should be proficient in Excel and Word.

You should have good written and verbal communication skills

You should have at least on year prior credit or accounting experience

Proficiency speaking spanish is a big plus

You must be able to pass a background check

Additional Information

This is a full time position but we can be somewhat flexible with scheduling. Work Saturday and take Monday off. We offer health insurance and a 401K plan with matching funds. A life insurance policy is also provided.

 

Band Instrument Repair Technician

Job description:

The Band Instrument Repair Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair services of brass and woodwind instruments and is expected to perform the following:

 Duties include:

• Perform regular maintenance and repair on company owned rental instruments.
• Evaluate and repair customer & school-owned instruments.
• Maintain company equipment and work space in good order.
 
Additional duties as assigned.
 
Hours: Part or Full-time: Up to 40 hours a week
 
We are looking for a motivated technician with a positive attitude and excellent time-management skills. Ideal candidates will be motivated and self-starting, comfortable working with customers, and a good team player.
 
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required or technical training.
• Pass bench test that shows seasoned competency in repair.
